Tooth Extraction

Tooth Extraction

Clinical Description

Tooth extraction is a routine dental procedure performed when a tooth is deemed non-restorable due to severe decay, trauma, periodontal disease, or impaction. The goal is to prevent further oral complications and maintain overall dental health.

The procedure may be simple or surgical, depending on the condition and position of the tooth. Clinical evaluation, including radiographic imaging, is conducted prior to the extraction to assess root morphology and proximity to anatomical structures.

Post-extraction care is provided to promote healing and reduce the risk of complications such as dry socket or infection. In cases requiring prosthetic replacement, treatment planning for implants or bridges may follow.
